Senior Data & Analytics Consultant

Job Description:

Ergoman is looking for a Senior Data & Analytics Consultant to design and deliver data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure. The role combines hands-on implementation, architecture design, client engagement, and technical presales.

Your Mission

Help clients turn business requirements into reliable, scalable data platforms and actionable insights, taking solutions from initial design through production deployment.

Responsibilities:

Design and deliver data architectures, pipelines, models, and BI reports.
Estimate capacity, licensing, and cloud costs.
Support presales through workshops, effort estimates, proposals, demos, and PoCs.
Plan migrations from SQL Server, SSIS, and SSAS to Fabric or Azure.
Document solutions and mentor junior colleagues through technical guidance and code reviews.

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years in data engineering, BI, or data warehousing, including 2+ years with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Factory / Synapse.
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate clearly with technical and business stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills, focus on quality, and ownership of delivery.
Presales, solution sizing, or proposal experience is a plus, not a requirement.

Technical Knowledge

Listed in order of priority:

Microsoft Fabric: Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, Data Factory pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Spark Notebooks, and Real-Time Intelligence.
Power BI: dimensional modeling, DAX, semantic models, Direct Lake, and row-level security.
Programming: Python / PySpark and advanced SQL.
Azure data services: Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Azure SQL; Azure Databricks is a plus.
Data architecture: medallion architecture, Kimball modeling, and ETL/ELT.
Sizing and cost estimation: Fabric capacities, Capacity Metrics app, Azure Pricing Calculator, and Power BI / Fabric licensing.
Governance and security: Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Entra ID.
DataOps: Fabric Git integration and deployment pipelines across development, test, and production environments.

Additional Qualifications That Will Be Valued

Microsoft certifications: DP-600, DP-700, or PL-300.
AZ-305, or a previously earned DP-203 certification.
